Upcoming Events

We’ve had a very busy June- lots of live music, private parties, happy hours, and more!  As July takes center stage and we head into the heat of the summer, let Quench be the hot-spot for your next big event!

We’ve got a a comfy lounge, a fantastic outdoor patio, friendly staff, delicious drinks and delectable eats! While we are happy to host your party or event at Quench during our business hours Tuesday thru Saturday, we can also offer our venue for private events on Sunday’s and Monday’s.  For anyone unfamiliar, we host Mixology Classes, Weekly Events, and Beer/Wine Tastings regularly! Feel free to inquire for more information and to plan your next shindig with us today!

MixologyIt’s summertime, Quench Nation!  Which means nice weather, pool days, relaxing evenings on the patio, and our favorite…. tasty, laid-back cocktails!

We’ve had a LOT going on at Quench- but our Mixology Classes are about to get started up again! Every other Monday night beginning in July, our senior Mixologist, Matt Allred, hosts students in his “classroom” and teaches them how to become a Mixologist on their own.  With instructional help, taste testing and Q&A, Matt is a great teacher and sends you home like you’re Tom Cruise off the movie Cocktail.  He teaches you how to craft three different drinks, and at the end allows each student behind the bar to create their own masterpiece!  Best of all, the guest with the tastiest drink gets it featured on our seasonal cocktail menu; so bring your A game in terms of creativity and innovation!

Our next class is scheduled for Monday, July 1st! Are you signed up yet? We have also set up classes for July 15th, July 29th and August 12th.  SO whether you are trying to think of a creative idea for a date, need some team building for you and your colleagues at work, or you just want to come out and learn how to make some good drinks with a friend, let the Mixology Masters show you how it’s done at Quench!

C.A.S.E. Happy Hour Event!

The Center for Adoption Services and Education will be hosting a happy hour event on Tuesday, June 18th! Starting at 6pm, 10% of food sales for all happy hour participants will be donated from Quench to C.A.S.E.

With the mission to strengthen the well-being of foster and adoptive families, C.A.S.E. offers counseling, community building, training and education and youth development.  They envision that everyone touched by foster care and adoption has access to the adoption-competent support necessary to navigate their lifelong journey.

So come out and support C.A.S.E., have some drinks and some good eats, and come get QUENCHED!

And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for!  As we mentioned last week, the Beer Barons Ball is back by popular demand!  Round 2 will be taking place Sunday May 19th at 6pm.  Are you ready?  Here are a few ideas of  we have in store for you!

We had so much fun at the last round of our beer pairing dinner, that we just HAD to do it again for the spring/summer!  Join us Sunday, May 19th at 6pm for five rounds of delicious brews from NERD Brewing Company and complementing cuisine from our head Quench chef.  Beers will include:

We are happy to announce a very special happy hour event this coming Tuesday.  Our friends at Thunder Beast Root Beer have selected Quench as a “sneak preview” spot to host some samples and tastings, which will include multiple Thunder Beast drinks and some extra special cocktails created by our lead Mixologist, Matt Allred.

Thunder Beast is a DC Micro brew that is especially focused on root beer, as opposed to other local breweries who sway more towards the beer side.  Thunder Beast will be in the house from 3-close on April 30th, so be sure to make an appearance, meet the Thunder Beast owner and see what all the buzz is about!  Quench is hoping to be a home for the Thunder Beast brand once their root beers are publicly available.

Around the World: A Wine Pairing Event Series

First Stop: Latin America!

Starting at 3pm, guests will be welcomed with a “passport” and guided into the ballroom at Linganore.  With your passport, you receive five wine tickets; each good for a pour of wine hand-picked to complement the Quench cuisine, which has been inspired by various Latin American countries.

Instead of the same ol’ stuffy sit down, plated dinner format, we are spicing things up a bit!  The room will be set up with five serving-stations, ranging from cheeses and horderves to hearty meats and tasty desserts.  We will have live music for your enjoyment, and a takeaway gift from both Quench and Linganore Wines.

Best of all, this event leaves plenty of room for opportunity to host more pairing events “around the world” in the future: keep your eyes peeled for an Italian and Mediterranean Event in the fall!

Slack WineryWe’ve been promising it’s coming, and here it is- the first ever Quench Wine Pairing Event!

Our new friends at Slack Winery of Ridge, Maryland will be in the house April 14th.  They have generously offered their products for us to share with the Quench community, and we are very excited to have them on board!

Join us from 6-8pm for a four-course meal, with each serving paired with complementing, refreshing drinks from the vines, courtesy of Slack Winery.   Our menu will host cheese hor’derves, shrimp, herb marinated chicken, lamb loin and a tasty dessert.

Wine Pairings with Quench!

We are happy to announce (and hope you’re happy, too!) that we have two very exciting wine pairing events coming up this spring!  Much thanks to our growing relationships with Slack Winery and Linganore Winecellars, we will be hosting one pairing event at Quench, and one offsite.

Quench for the Kids!

$50K FTK logo horizontalQuench is very pleased to announce that we will be hosting an honorary Happy Hour for our good friend Deb Fiscella and her charitable drive, 50k For the kids!

Deb decided she wanted to do the philanthropic thing and raise money for her 50th birthday, as opposed to wanting any extravagant gifts.  As a Penn State Alum, she turned her charitable heart to the Four Diamonds Fund.

Partnering with the Four Diamonds Fund was a no-brainer, as its mission is to conquer childhood cancer.  The funds raised go to families affected and the expenses, as well as to support research initiatives, comprehensive care and quality support.

Deb’s opportunity to give back is something for all to take part in, and Quench wants you to come out and donate, drink and have a good time- all for a good cause!  From 4-7pm on March 28, we will be having a fantastic happy hour where everything revolves around the #5, for 50k for the Kids! If you’re a good samaritan and make a donation to the fund, you get all happy hour cocktails for $5.  We will have raffle tickets for sale, with prizes such as tickets to the National Theater!  And at 6pm, we will play “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”, and the winner will receive a Quench Gift Certificate. Plus, 15% of all food sales during the event will go to the charity, too!

So we are very excited to have Deb on board with us, and we can’t wait for the PARTY WITH A PURPOSE! If for whatever reason you can’t make it, you can donate to this wonderful cause via the link below.
